Auburn’s location and its art collection create a forum to study a broad range of topics. Influenced by the American South, artists featured this semester explore concepts of memory, place and agency. Celebrating 20 years as a teaching museum in 2023, The Jule considers the potential to preserve histories and open dialogue through the objects in the accompanying exhibitions.
The Auburn Forum for Southern Art and Culture is the inaugural half-day symposium featuring exhibiting artists and researchers in a series of one-on-one conversations. The program centers the university as a destination for creative scholarship around the topic.
